Equalising Skills competition success for HRC learners
Supported Learning students at Huntingdonshire Regional College joined teams from other local colleges to take part in the latest Equalising Skills competition recently.
The round, held at Bedford College, required competitors to work together to design and create greetings cards for male and female recipients and a thank you card.
HRC were awarded second place for their efforts and the event helped to further develop links between the colleges involved.
Julie Shorter, a Supported Learning tutor at HRC, said: “The team really enjoyed the day and we have been invited to visit Peterborough Regional College for coffee and cake and develop a penfriend initiative between our learners.”
HRC learner, Carl Flitney, added: “It was fun and I met nice people and made new friends.”
