ICF Dragon Boat Club Crew World Championships 2017

SNDBT have produced growing list of world class paddlers & a drummer over the years, we can now add our recently qualified female helm to this list.

ICF (International Canoe Federation) hosted this years ICF Dragon Boat Club Crew World Championships in Venice, Italy and what an amazing event this was. The event saw club crews from all around the world attending and competing with the best, to be the best and over 780 athletes and 34 clubs from 13 different countries where there fighting for a chance to be a world champion.

4 SNDBT UK members joined forces with our Italian member with representing his local club crew in Italy (Team Elliott), this was a brave move by our 4 UK members as they had never trained with the Italian team.

But this didn’t stop them taking Gold in the 500m Senior B small boat category, with Ed Swaris & Stani Cordella paddling and Sarah Durham at the Helm.
