We are a lively local museum telling the story of our busy market town on the River Ouse, from prehistoric times to the present day.
Our displays tell our story with a fascinating selection of photographs, objects and hands-on activities.
The museum is housed in the towns Victorian Police Station and Magistrates Court. We have a regular programme of temporary exhibitions, family activities and special events.
The museum has a part-time Curator and a part-time Learning and Access Officer, but is mainly run by volunteers and the Friends of the Museum.
